Amazon has halted plans to expand its Fresh supermarkets and cashier-less convenience stores as the company is still grasping for success with supermarkets, CEO Andy Jassy said a in a rare appearance on the company's quarterly results call. Jassy said the firm needs a distinctive store format that's doing well financially before embarking on a major expansion.
