Threads now has 50 million users just over 24 hours since the app was rolled out on Thursday. Meta's "Twitter Killer" competitor works closely with its Instagram service, and its meteoric rise has caused rival Twitter to feel the heat and threaten to sue the Facebook parent firm a day after it was launched.
